Ballet

(ages 6 - Adult) Is a graded system of barre and center techniques in the method of England’s Royal Academy of Dance. This is the largest, most influential public examining body for Classical Ballet in the world, operating in some 70 countries. (www.radusa.org ) Students take yearly examinations designed to measure their progress. Children do not use the barre in their exercises until the age of 8 years. This is done in order to prevent excessive dependence on the strength of the barre in contrast to development of an independent and strong core body.
